WELCOMEThe Manitoba Libraries Conference and CFLA-FCAB National Forum will host delegates from across Canada, with representation from all library sectors. We are pleased to invite you to our biennial provincial conference. The Manitoba Libraries Conference will be held in conjunction with the CFLA-FCAB National Forum (May 17). We are proud to host this event in conjunction with our conference and we are certain you won’t want to miss it! Our conference theme for this year is Access and Accessibility. On May 18 and 19, 2023, library workers from across Canada will come together to explore, network and discover virtually. Check back often for news and updates! | ACCESS AND ACCESSIBILITYThis year’s theme is Access and Accessibility. We hope this will inspire recognition, conversation, practical tips and understanding around access and accessibility in libraries, with specific attention to the Accessibility for Manitobans Act and Accessibility Standard for Information and Communications, as well as topics addressing access and accessibility broadly, in keeping with MLA’s commitments to equity, diversity and inclusion as a key pillar in our programming. BURSARIESMLA is able to offer bursaries for individuals who identify as Indigenous for this year's conference. The National Forum is included in the price of the overall conference of the Manitoba Library Association. Members of all Territorial and Provincial Associations are eligible for the discounted member registration fee. |
