The Canadian Federation of Library Associations — Fédération canadienne des associations de bibliothèques will convene its 2nd National Forum in conjunction with the Manitoba Library Association (MLA).
The CFLA-FCAB National Forum 2020 will be held at the Delta Winnipeg Hotel, Winnipeg, Manitoba on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, following the Manitoba Libraries Conference.
A number of recent events held in Canadian library spaces have occasioned controversy within the Canadian library community, causing many to question how best to apply foundational library values. Upholding the value of intellectual freedom may seem at times to undermine the great work libraries are doing to create welcoming spaces for all community members. It's time to explore these issues together. Please join us!
The 2020 Program Committee has identified the major objectives of the Forum to set expectations for the event and guide promotion. The objectives are as follows:
