Fall Net/Workshop Series 2023

Manitoba Public Library Services, with assistance from the Manitoba Library Association, is organizing three (3) in-person networking and professional development workshops for the fall 2023.

Dates and Locations: 

  • Thursday, September 21: Gaynor Family Regional Library in Selkirk
  • Monday, September 25:  Portage La Prairie Regional Library
  • Wednesday, September 27:  Border Regional Library - Virden Branch

Time: Each date runs 9:30 am - 3:30 pm

Topics: 

  • Thursday, September 21: Selkirk - Strategic Planning
  • Monday, September 25:  Portage La Prairie - Library Board Training
  • Wednesday, September 27:  Virden - Community Needs Assessments

In addition to the above topics, each day will include:

  • updates from South Central Regional Library about the ongoing challenges facing their library
  • check-in with our OverDrive team
  • a chance for the host library to talk about their recent or upcoming projects and accomplishments
  • round table discussions on a variety of topics (chosen from your suggestions!)
  • lots of opportunities for networking with your fellow library professionals

Registration Deadline: Friday, September 8, 2023

Cost: $40/person (includes lunch and coffee breaks)
